I got a new extreme base-station and let my friends take my old one (snow). Is there a way to reset the station as if it were new. He is having trouble configuring the station, even after I given him my password.

There's a small hole on the bottom of the base station. Inside that hole is a button. When you first plug it in, immediately stick the end of a paper clip in to push the button, and hold it until the light(s?) stays a steady orange. You can now plug in an ethernet cable from the computer to the Airport, and change all the settings. This is usually for when you just forget the password.
