Hi
Just upgraded my machine to Snow Leopard (10.6.4 came on the installer disc).
Now, every one of my apps crashes whenever I try to use an Open..., Save As..., or even upon start-up if any sort of Finder dialog opens at that time. This happens if I try to open a file, or even if I do something like choose "Save Image As..." from a web site.
Basically, whenever the app has to open a box allowing me to navigate the Finder, the app either spontaneously shuts down, or hangs with a beach ball.
This happens on ALL of my apps, from web browser, to Toast, to Adobe products, to word processors... everything.
If I drop a file onto an app, it will open it just fine.
If I use the regular Save command (or Apple-S) it saves just fine.
Problems only occur when Finder dialogs open, but problems do occur 100% of the time that Finder dialogs open, in all apps.
Tried the 10.6.7 combo installer, thinking that this might have been addressed.
No change.
Brand new late-2010 2.8MHz MacPro desktop, 3 gb RAM.
Thanks for any help.
