All boot commands ...

I know that there r a lot of command to be typed at boot.

For example:
Reset PRAM: ALT + CMD + P + R
CD boot: C
FW mode: T
CD eject: mouse button

I remember that on X 10.1 there was also a command to boot in text mode.

Do u know any other command?
So we can create a simple guide :)

In X: Command+s= Single-user boot.
In X: Command+v= Verbose mode
Command+Option+o+f= Boot into Open Firmware
Shift+Command+Option+Delete= Force system to boot from other than default boot volume
In 9: Shift= Boot without extensions loading
In X: Shift= Boot without Login Items loading

With proper firmware
9 and X on same partition: x key force-boots X
9 and X on separate partitions: Option key brings up Volume picker (select which Volume to boot from)

I think there are more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Take note In OSX the Shift button turns off all Kernel Extensions

What's this please ?

If the firmware supports it, a machine booted holding the T key will boot into FireWire Target Disk mode. This will mount the machine's hard drive on the desktop of a machine connected to it via a 6-pin to 6-pin FireWire cable.

That's the best way I can describe it. Sorry, I'm not very eloquent.

C = Start up from CD
D = Starts up from hard disk's first partition
N = boots off server
T = Mac goes into FireWire Target Disk Mode
X = boots in X, if it's on the same disk as 9
SHFT = no start-up items load
OPT = shows all viable start-up partitions or disks
CMD+OPT+SHFT+DEL = boots off external drive or CD
CMD+OPT+O+F = Boot into Open Firmware
CMD+V = Verbose Mode: displays UNIX console messages during start-up
CMD+S = Single-user boot
MOUSE-DOWN = ejects CD or DVD
SHFT = Boot without extensions in 9 / without Kernel Extentions and Login Items in X

Firewire Target Disk Mode would explain why my Xserve has that silly firewire port on the front.

Many thanks!
