all of a sudden..no internet????

i've had my macbook for several months now and everything was working perfectly. my wife took it to work a few days ago and couldnt connect to the wifi so she called her wifi support and they made a few changes. and i have no idea what those changes were and i have no idea what they did to my settings but now i get no internet. my wife says at work it works well. as soon as she turns on the pc it works fine. but as soon as she gets home we cant connect to our network. my other wireless computers work fine. but for some reason my macbook says it connects to my network but there's no internet. i tried to go to 192.168.0.1 but nothing. says there's no internet connection. also, i get this message at my "network" page: Airport is connected to the network. Airport has a self assigned ip address and may notbe able to connect to the internet. i added 2 screenshots of my network settings on my macbook. any help would be appriciated.

Click the Airport tab.
Select the By default, join: Automatic from the popup menu.

i tried that..didnt work. what i did what delete any type of profile and then i had to manually put in my ip and router and dns server. and that fixed it. not sure why the automatic thing isnt working. any ideas?

Try going Airport logo (top left hand corner), Use Airport Robustness (something along those lines) I dont have airport. although I have set a mac up using airport. (a long time ago)
