Not the best way to describe in the subject, but it's the best I can come up with.
I have a 17" MBP with 10.6.3. This problem has existed since I got the machine with 10.6.x (don't recall the exact number). It's occasional, and doesn't happen that often, but when it does, it's annoying.
I have a second monitor plugged in. At night, I close the laptop lid so it will sleep. In the morning, I get up, open the lid, and continue with my day. But about one out of every five times, the stupid thing thinks the second monitor is the primary and the laptop display isn't going to be used. So I have to unplug the cable, wait, then plug it back in. But then all of my windows in all of my Spaces have changed sizes, since the external monitor is only 1600x1050 compared to the 1920x1200 on the MBP. So I have to resize all the windows.
Is there anything I can do to stop this?
