I'm thinking of getting a new G5 (either the iMac or desktop, havent decided yet), and was wondering if it would be worth it to hold out until then...

if you are looking for a desktop, then wait
but if you want an iMac i would say go for it

The G5 iMacs are just out, I'd say it's a good time if you need a new machine, and that's the kind you need.

If you need a Powermac-class machine (and not the "low-end" one), your guess is as good as mine.
