Any rumors of an iBook/iPod bundle?

Just wondering if any retailer or Apple have plans to bundle the iPod in a promo with one of their systems.

Apple is not really the "bundling" type compared to Dell or any other PC maker.

With Apple you buy the computer and all you get is the computer. With Dell you usually get a package such as computer, monitor, printer and PDA.

In any case, I don't forsee Apple bundling any of its hardware products soon.

I kno how to bundle..... click buy ibook, then when it comes to those accessories, you click ipod........wooooh!

that's not really what bundling means.

bundling is when you group together several products and sell them for less than it would cost to purchase each of those products individually.

it would be cool if you could buy a iBook and get a iPod for only $99.

I don't see how it would make good business sense for Apple to bundle an iPod with a Mac, though it would be a bonus for customers. More likely, you'd get something along the lines of buy a Mac and get more ram or sound sticks or a case. Buy an iPod and get a case or an fm transmitter.
Or when windows iPods are sold (or the new models for peecee users), bundle it with a Move2Mac package.

Here's a thought - maybe if Costco (Price Club) partners up with Apple and you could get the requested bundle.

For folks that have never been to a Costco (Price Club), it's a membership/warehouse/bulk store. And you can never just buy something that doesn't supplement something (i.e. like extra batteries and such).

I'm sure that will never happen though.
