Any way to "edit" messages in Mail.app?

One thing I love about Entourage is you can edit received messages (in my case, it's usually to change the subject heading to something more relevant, for easier reference at a future date). Don't seem to be able to do this in Mail - or am I wrong?

The only way you can change a message in Mail is when you click on reply or forward. The received message is not editable. :(
