Anyone ever repair a Cinema display?

I have here a 22" Cinema display that is completely dead - displays no image and no power light. I have checked the power supply and confirmed that it's good. Next step is to crack open the case. Is there anything typical that's known for failure on these things? Any suggestions?

The first question you should ask: Will Apple replace it for free?

If you still have AppleCare on it, they should.

No, they will not - this thing is at least 4 or 5 years old, and was actually going to be trashed by its original owner. I took it because I thought it might be fixable.
