The inlaws have RoadRunner Cable modem service with a Toshiba cable modem. Their original iMac no longer makes a connection to the modem. I think the ethernet card is fried.
Unfortunately, this is part of the motherboard = $$$ + PITA to fix.
The modem has a USB interface as well, and the manual mentions it working with a PC, however, there is no mention of a Mac. Is anyone aware of a way to get it working via USB on a Mac?
