AOL Broadband for Mac OS

I have read on AOL / TimeWarner's web site that AOL Broadband does not work with Mac OS. Has anyone had any luck getting it to work? Thanks.

Some one asked that same question on an AOL Apple Support message board a while back: an AOL staff member responded, and the gist of the reply was that they were developing, or thinking of developing (I don't remember for sure) the required software/code for the Macintosh, but that it would probably be quite a while before it was released.
I hope this helped!

I have cable modem and an AOL account. The AOL application runs so slow! I'm not sure if it's the application itself, or the AOL servers. One thing for sure, I can't stand it. This is coming from somebody who used to get irritated by those putting down AOL. Well, I still think most AOL bashers exaggerate. Speed up AOL and boom, it's great stuff!

With AOL Braodband 8.0, aol supports home networking--with certain routers only. once you configure the router, you set aol to connect using TCP. I have a linksys router, i had to upgrade the firmware. Using my windows machine I connected successfully. NOW, I thought--since the connection is TCP,, surely I can connect using the mac--I tried it and it worked--only problem is the external browsers wont work such as ie and netscape. also, hotmail wont work and aim wont work--any thoughts as to why this is true?

I'm using AOL broadband--which doesnt support the mac--I am thinking of leaving aol for just this reason but would lik to try and solve this anyway
