Apple Care Tech Training... Has anyone?

Has anyone bought the $300 Apple Care Tech Trainning? I am seriously considering going through with it but wanted to hear of anyone elses experience with it. One main question on my mind is how much it costs to take the test? So, if anyone here has gone through the training, can you tell me your experience?
 
I checked with a technician at my computer store and he has taken the test twice and failed - their are very high standards, and he keeps dropping on one subject -
the tests that he has taken have cost him about (or the store actually) $300-$400 canadian -
that is on top of the learning material -
 
I took the test a few years ago. If you study the material that comes with it, and have worked on/troubleshoot them for a couple years, the test is a breezeIf I remember right, the test cost $125.00 when I took it.
 
Thanks Guys! I did find through my digging that the tests are now $150 each and I must take a desktop hardware test, a portable hardware test and a software test that I choose from a list of about 4 or 5 to become an Apple Care Tech.
