From MacMinute:
Apple has created a new division within the company focused solely on the iPod. Jon Rubenstein, who has led Apple's hardware engineering efforts, will run the new division. Timothy Cook, head of Apple's worldwide sales and operations, will lead a newly organized Mac division, according to Reuters. Tim Bucher, head of Mac system development, will take over hardware engineering. The moves were announced today in a company-wide internal e-mail sent by Apple CEO Steve Jobs. "This organizational refinement will focus our talent and resources even more precisely on our industry-leading Macintosh computers and the wildly successful iPod," an Apple spokesman said.

Though I doubt this has any correlation... This might help appease Apple Corps since Apple is now splitting off the music division per say. Unless the ipod/itunes/music division actually becomes a completely seperate entity like Filemaker i doubt those boys won't think it has gone far enough.

Well, unless they re-brand the iPod/iTMS division, they will still get sued. They would have to remove the Apple name from all of it.
However, this is still really great news, as it will no doubt help improve the quality and time spent on Macs and iPods.
