You talking to me!
Just been to the final update roadshow in Auckland last night.
Got a chance to oooh and aah (and also play with them a bit) at the new G5's and Panther beta's along with the current Mac line up except the new iMacs and iPods.
They also showed DVD Studio Pro 2, which is another classy piece of Apple software.
They had the only dual G5 in New Zealand and probably Australia too on show but not fired up, which was a bit of a shame. Would have loved to see that baby move.
Must admit the engineering and finish on these machines is wonderful as always, oh and that performance thing isn't too shabby either.
It was a little strange to have Apple NZ people standing by stopping us from poking around too much inside the G5's and with Panther.
I would have liked to see a G5 running the Panther beta instead of 10.2.7.
Anyway they have a draw where all attendees from the four roadshow go in to win a G5 (1.6 or 1.8 I think) and a 20" cinema display _so fingers crossed.
Otherwise I will have to save up some pennies.
Anyway I think Apple are on the right track with their new stuff.
