yeah, I currently run apple pro speakers on my 533 da, along with an isub, sound is awesome, and I love it when new people come over, they always say the exact same thing... "what the **** is that?!" sometimes however I do get some wierd distortion from it, however all I have to do is unplug the usb or power, and plug it back in... something I am hoping will be fixed in 10.2, cause 9 never did it...
So I guess that's that. Tomorrow I go out for an iSub, although how often do you get that distortion effect from the iSub?
Perhaps it's something to do with the USB ports themselves.
From what I understand the USB ports on the Quicksilvers are dual channel, so each port gets full bandwidth.
whenever I am on my computer iTunes is running, and I only see it happen once in a great while, at the most twice a week... not enough to make me want to use something else... I have tried different configurations, but nothing seems worse or better... I think it is just something with the drivers in 10... cause 9 never did it.
The speakers quite frankly sound like garbage with itunes in 10.1. If apple doesn't put some actual controls for the iSub and speaks in 10.2 and supports its own products.. i don't know.. i give up i guess. i've sent enough emails about it to apple about it.
