Apple Pro Speakers

Is there any way to use the Pro speakers with a hub? I need the other USB port for my MIDI interface, as it doesn't work well plugged into the keyboard. I'd like to use the speakers also.

First try plugging the speaker into the keyboard. If that doesn't work, then try the hub.

then let us know how it works.

do they not work with typical 1/8" ports? i've already got the soundsticks and i'm buying a new imac that comes with these pro speakers. it'd be nice to use 'em all at the same time ^_^.

Okay, they're the USB speakers that come with a Cube. I've tried plugging them into the keyboard, but OSX displays a message saying they can't be used here because the keyboard hub does not provide enough power.

I really need one pf the USB ports on the Cube to be dedicated to my MIDI interface, but would like to have the speakers conencted for system sound.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

a hub that provides its own power supply will do the trick for ya.

Belkin has very good self powered hubs. Check them out.

I have one that my scanner is plugged into. No problems at all.

Thanks for all the responses. It was the Belkin hub I had in mind, but Belkin wouldn't say it would definitely work with the speakers. I'll give the Griffin hub a try, as it's a good price, and more than suitable.
