Well, Apple has released the iPod mini for Europe. The price isn't too bad either.

wow - and it seems it's chearper in the UK than in Europe!

isn't too bad? ... $249 would be 202, but the mini costs 269 ($330), so we pay $60 more than american customers ... even taking VAT into account we still pay ~$40-50 more ... 
Couldn't they at least sat $=? Would you pay >$300 for a miniPod?

It was 259 EURO for Germany. The reason why the prices are higher is because they HAVE to include a minimum of a 24 month guarantee and that costs like 50 extra dollars in the US. Otherwise it's just the year in the US.

ok, seems prices are different across Europe. I got 279 from the French store.

VAT can change it quite dramatically from country to country.

its £179.99 in the UK which is better than the 199.99 originaly anounced! Im quite happy though! because i got mine from ebay in January (before they shiped in the US) for only £174.50 so I got mine 4.5 months erlier and a fiver cheaper :> woohoo!

I just "pretended" to order one from the UK site (I stoped before i payed) but it aperas that they wont ship untill (at least) the 24th of July. well see how long it takes for apple to start teling people that its a 2 week delay lol
