I just recently bought an iMac for my Parents who live in the absolute worst area for internet, their only choice = dialup.
So, I got an Apple USB modem, entered their connection details, and the internet is super slow compared to the PC that was just previously there.
Tested for about 2 days, and every single site is super bogged down.
I tried modifying all the modem settings, and that didn't help at all.
Nowhere on the mac does it even tell you what speed you get connected at either, unless I'm missing something.
Anyone else have this problem, I know its an ancient way to connect, but, out there they have no choice.
Thanks,
