applejack 1.5 not working with 10.5.6

Trying to use applejack with os 10.5.6, and it is causing some problems. The permissions fixing part of applejack seems to be the culprit. When it is done fixing permissions, and I exit applejack, single user mode "hangs" when I try to restart. The computer freezes and I have to use the power button to shut it down and then restart. I posted this problem on the applejack forums and the moderator there was unable to help.

I was just wondering if anyone out there is successfully using applejack with 10.5.6, or has had similar problems (and hopefully a solution). My mac is a mini, 2 ghz intel core 2 duo, with 2 gigs of ram. Thanks-
 
It does the same thing with applejack auto. It will run through all the maintenance routines and then hangs on restart.
