Applworks bleeds

Is it my Lexmark z23 printer, or AppleWorks 6.2.4 that causes all text on the same lines as a gif assume the same (yet smeared) color of the gif?

Plus, is it pretty much true that AW is not conducive to background watermarks?

Try printing to PDF and then printing from the preview application.

Worked like a charm. Too bad it can't be done without saving to PDF first.
