ARD Problems under 10.3.x

Hi there,

I have a machine offsite that I need to access, port 3283 has been opened on the Router.

My 10.2.8 workstation can access the remote machine but my 10.3 workstation cannot.

The 10.3 workstation cannot even add the remote machine to the computer list. The firewall is not running on the 10.3 workstation I have tried connecting using a two different workstations, still have the same problem.

But I can see and add machines on my local network.

Any Ideas??

I didn't understand your router settings. You have "natted" UDP 3283 port in order to be pointed to your 10.2.8 machine, right? If you want to use other machines, such as the 10.3 one, you have to change your router settings and point UDP 3283 port to this new machine.

Site 1 this is where I'm located has four machines 2 running 10.2.8 and 2 running 10.3.

Site 2 has the one remote machine.


The machines running 10.2.8 on site 1 can access the remote machine on site 2. The two machines on site 1 running 10.3 cannot add the machine on site 2 but you can added the machines on site 1 ok.
