Yikes! Bad news. I learned the hard way not to give any repairman anything that disconnects from the machine. The hard way. More than a few power supplies (for a 1400 and an Nintendo 64 and a couple of diskmen) and various power cables and most recently the teflon ring on a promouse all went the way of "no - you didn't give me one."
Well, eventhough they won't find, they SHOULD send you a new one. I think in such cases apple is not that fussy. But still, the ibook battery doesn'T endure 3-4 days..
When you give anything to repair, you should receive a paper against it, stating the identified problems, the repair condition (warranty, quote,...), AND THE DETAILED LIST OF WHAT YOU GAVE.
Finally they said they were going to send me a new one... then I called back to verify that they were sending one with Japanese power output... and... turns out they -weren't- on top of that as I thought they would be... so they say they are sending one of those too.
So, I get a bonus adapter! But... hasn't arrived yet.
