Hello, I'm trying to mount at startup an smb shared folder on a Linux box. I've googled arround a bit and I found I could do that with Netinfo manager. I almost got it to work, except for the mount point. Here are my settings:
I'm running Tiger.
On Netinfo manager/mounts I have the following entry:
name serverip:/share
dir Users/me/shared
vsfstype url
opts url==smb://workgroup;user
assword@serverip/share
net
I tried restarting automount with killall -1 automount and restarting the system, but when I go into /Users/me/shared nothing happens.
The weird thing is that if I go to /Network/Servers/serverip/share it automounts with no problem!!
What I've is a softlink to where I want that folder, but I would like to know why is this not working the way it's supposed.
Thank's
Marc.
