Aviation Software for Mac OS X

My parent's are switching from PC to Mac -- finally! All of their apps run on Mac OS X except for some of my Dad's aviation software. Does anyone have any help in this area? How is that Fly II (correct name?) flight simulator game for the Mac. Right now he uses MS Flight Simulator. He is going to get VirtualPC so he can run some of his aviation apps regardless of if there is a mac version or not. Of course the best solution is a native app.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
 
I have Fly II. Biggest waste of money, EVER. On my G4 733 in X it runs unusably slow and sets my monitor to all kinds of crazy off-screen resolutions.

I don't know about running it in 9, but in 10, atleast for me, it's a big fat no.

I'm not sure if there are any other apps out there, Microsoft WAS supposed to port Flight Simulator to OS X but we can see how far that got. If you have a local Apple Store, you may want to go browse their selection. Just be careful with Fly II.
