I took the plunge and installed b85 on my GF's tibook (667 gigabit ethernet). It's the model that has the ATI Rage video card w/ a mere 16mbs of VRAM.
I'm pleased to announce that OpenGL support in Panther is vastly improved, if running through the pile of OpenGL screensavers I have is any indication.
Under Jaguar, OpenGL screensavers crawled or didn't play at all on this machine. Under 10.3, all of them play, and play quite well. I'm getting around 45fps running Marine Aquarium, though it doesn't like displaying the bubble column.
Still, all of the screen savers I tried worked. The whole system runs much more smoothly than 10.2, and feels much more responsive. Colour me impressed.
