Backup

In response to user feedback, Apple has released an upgrade, Backup v1.2, that now handles large backups spanning multiple CDs and DVDs (this version requires Mac OS X v10.2). Here's how it works: When a CD or DVD is full, you're prompted to pop in a second disk. Backup keeps track of the complete archive. Later, if you want to restore files from a multiple-disk archive, Backup can help you find just the ones you need.

I got this in an apple enews email....but when I click the link for the download Backup 1.2, it asks for my .Mac login [note, you don't need .Mac to use this version of backup, since it lets you backup to CDR].

So does this mean that apple is planning to force us to be .Mac members to download iApps??
