I'm really new to al this, but approximately how long should a battery last for a mac? not in terms of like until iit goes to sleepor runs out of juice, but like until it's dead & you can't use it anymore. Unless that is not possible, 'cause you're charging it right.
Well, personally, my PowerBook is 2 and half years old. When it was new, I used to get a good 3 hours out of it. Now, only one hour. I suppose in another couple years it'll be useless, and time for a new one. (PowerBook, that is. )
I just bought a new iBook G4, and the battery life with normal use is around 2 hours. I calibrated the battery shortly after purchase. It now never shows 100%, it is stuck on 99%.
