Best Bittorrent client?

The official client is pretty good. I like to use BitTorrent 4.0.2, because the later versions make tons of seemingly unnecessary network connections that make me a little wary (and BitTorrent the company seems to be slowly becoming evil...). The official client offers a neat mix of performance and features.

Transmission is probably the best out there in terms of performance, but it's lacking in features. Last time I checked, it didn't even show you how many seeds you were connected to with each torrent.

Azureus is another one I use often for its advanced features, like superseeding and the ability to download only certain files within a torrent. The downside is that it's a bit bloated.

It's still arguably the best torrent client on the Mac platform. It'll show you anything about a torrent, including a graphical view of the leechers/seeders that updates every second or so.

Azureus is the most powerful and full-featured however it is a bit too bloated for my tastes, and uses too many resources.

Transmission was my favourite for a few months, though it has some stability issues which meant that once every month or so it would spontaneously lose all my torrents. I hope its quality picks up soon as I'd love to go back to it.

At the moment, I'm quite fond of BitRocket and Bits on Wheels. Sure, they're both light-on for features - but they work easily and fairly reliably
