Erhm... Quite definitely, that depends on the user. Sure: Mac OS X doesn't let you define much while installing. However: Power users find their ways to customise their installations later on. Just look at the Fink project. (I still wish Apple would add some advanced way of installing, which would let me select/deselect single stuff. Why do I have to install Internet Explorer when I want GarageBand on my PB's installation CDs?)
From a 'stupid' user's perspective, Mac OS X is really the best to install. No options that seem to interfere with common sense.
