Best OS installer ??? (poll)

A lot of the comments are bunk. That's a sad thing at OSNews these days. A lot of trolls hang out and do nothing but bash macs.

Yes it is. Look at Win9x/ME. Barely getting a vote. I remember 98 being a complete pain to install.
I find OS X to be the easiest to install out of the various installations I have performed (Different Linux flavors, mac os 9.2, WindowsXXX, etc)

Yellow Dog Linux has the best installer I know. Mac OS X' advanced installation options are unintuitive and badly organized, and don't offer enough customizability.

Erhm... Quite definitely, that depends on the user. Sure: Mac OS X doesn't let you define much while installing. However: Power users find their ways to customise their installations later on. Just look at the Fink project. (I still wish Apple would add some advanced way of installing, which would let me select/deselect single stuff. Why do I have to install Internet Explorer when I want GarageBand on my PB's installation CDs?)

From a 'stupid' user's perspective, Mac OS X is really the best to install. No options that seem to interfere with common sense.

This reminds me of a joke

"Did you know that if you run the windows install CD backwards it plays satanic messages but what's worse is if you run it forwards it installs windows."

personally, i felt a little overwhelmed with the YDL installation but what ever
