I hope this is in the right place!
I'm afraid I don't know much with regards to the tech specs, below is what I found out using the serial code.
Serial number: UV23319ALQ0
Name: iBook G3 (Mid 2002)
Model: Mxxxx iBook G3 600MHz
Bus speed: 100MHz
Screen size: 12 inch
Factory: UV (Taiwan)
It also has some extra memory and runs Tiger. The logic board was replaced last July
The initial problem was that the computer froze, followed by the screen going a light blue colour or sometimes black.
Tapping the computer in the lower left hand corner next to the track pad would bring the desktop back up but all would still be frozen. After rebooting the computer would work fine until moved/knocked and the above would happen all over again.
My boyfriend (who is much more technically able than me) has opened the computer and checked for any obvious loose connections, nothing has been found.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong?
I ran the Hardware Test CD and it said everything was fine
If you need anymore details feel free to ask, I will get my boyfriend to answer as I have no idea what I am talking about!
Also how do I quickly and easily copy stuff from my hard drive...especially my address book and passwords.
