blue screen on mac os x startup

help.....
i am on 9.1...... i have the os x cd.
i want to install os x ( in a diffrent disk.... i want to partition my hard disk... one 9.1 and other os x)
so i put the os 9 cd (hold c while restart -> "ultilitues" -> intalitize -> and made made two disk drives)

then i put the os x cd and installed os x..... after the install was over the mac booted up and then it started loading (os x) and then blue screen came and then nothing came up..... why is that? why didnt it work? did i do anything wrong? did i miss a step? please help me....
i am on 9.1 (imac 400mhz, 9.1, 192mb)
 
I'm getting the same problem on a few eMacs running Tiger.
First blue screen comes up with the Mac OS X window. I expect to see the startup sequence begin, but nothing, Just a blue screen with a frickin window saying Mac OS X. Can't be arsed installing the OS again and again so does anyone know of a different fix for this problem ???
Have tried running the latest version of Tech Tool Pro over it to no avail !!!
