hey ho everyone. I have a macbook pro, been using it for about 9 months. haven't recently installed leopard. i got the blue screen today, same symptoms as the usual- boot, apple loading grey screen, light blue screen, then dark blue screen with functioning cursor.
its a mac os x 10.5.6, or .7 i think.

within the last week its been acting up in this way: search bar, when only 2 or 3 characters are typed will freeze, stays that way. search not working.
logic pro tells me that the hardisk is either running out of space or to slow, i forget- and won't playback what i've been working on.
freezes up or slows down everyso often.
last night itunes froze up and playback would stop every now and then.

opened skype today, worked a few moments -typing froze, widgets froze, then would work, then would freeze, back and forth. i restarted it and it gave me hues of blue.

I tried this method:
Try this solution if you are comfortable using Terminal and have certain application enhancement installed. The software may be removed following the below steps:

1. Start up in single-user mode by holding Command-S after restarting the computer. Note that single-user mode always uses the US English keyboard layout.
2. Type these commands, each on a single line followed by Return:

/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
rm -rf /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/ApplicationEnhancer.bundle
reboot
3. If the issue persists, use option A or B above.

I read about this method:
Continuing on... In Target Disk Mode:

•Navigate into the affected Mac's drive after it appears on the host Mac's desktop and delete the following files:

/Library/Preference Panes/Application Enhancer.prefpane
/Library/Frameworks/Application Enhancer.framework
/System/Library/SystemConfiguration/Application Enhancer.bundle
/Library/Preferences/com.unsanity.ape.plist

•Empty the trash can.

and was wondering how i could generate terminal code, directions, commands? you know what i mean i'm sure- to delete files through terminal, because target disk mode will not respond on the mac i have it connected to. i did get it to work once, and i saw that /Library/Preference Panes/Application Enhancer.prefpane was not there. -as for the other files, they may be, and that is why i am interested.

i hope you understand all this, if you are following me i am quite grateful that you care enough to.

who wants ta help me out? thanks so much, i read some of the posts here and you all seem terribly helpful.

-i did back it up a week ago, i don't mind reimaging all that much, i just don't have the disks with me.
any ideas?
