Bluetooth headset?

Has anyone used a bluetooth-based headset (preferably with a side microphone) that can connect to a bluetooth-enabled computer (such as a Mac G4 PowerBook)? The only bluetooth headsets that I have seen are specifically for bluetooth enabled cell phones.

With thanks,

Its the same thing. The BlueTooth headsets from SonyErricsson, Motorola, Nokia and Logitech should all work with your Mac.

So, are you saying that the ones that hook up to cell phones via Bluetooth also hook up my Mac? Which is the best one to get? Isn't Platronics the best headset manufacturer?

check out search, untz. We had a bunch of threads on this topic. I prefer the logitech headset, since it has the longest duration.

Can you provide me with a URL to this product? Isn't Platronics supposed to be the *BEST* manufacturers of the headset? What should I type in the search box?

Thanks for all of your replies! This community rocks!

We use Plantronics bluetooth headsets in the call centre where I work, and they *are* the best, however they're probably much more than you need, have a large base station for charging, and are quite expensive. If you're planning on wearing it for 8 hours a day and using it in mission critical applications like we do, then its worth paying 4 times as much. If not, then just get one of the consumer brands and save yourself some money. For home use I have a SonyErriccson, and its battery life is average, and though the build quality is quite good, it has a bit more weight than many of its competitors. The only other one I've tried is a Nokia: very compact and foldable, light, but not very comfortable to wear.
I'd check out the Logitech ones and see what you think.
