bluetooth problem!

Hoping someone can help!

I am using a Powerbook G4 and a Nokia 6630 phone. The devices were syncing fine until recently. Since installing 10.4.3, the mac has been unable to locate the phone. Both devices are discoverable and I am relatively confident that the problem lies with the mac. I have turned the phone and mac on/off, deleted the phone from the devices list etc. to no avail.

Since installing 10.4.4, opening bluetooth preferences takes a long time and it appears to have frozen. When preferences opens, it states 'bluetooth power: off'. The icon to turn on bluetooth is deselected and cannot be clicked on.

In addition, if I click on the bluetooth icon in the top bar, both 'bluetooth: off' and 'turn bluetooth on' are deselected and will not respond.

I urgently require the two devices to talk as I need remote internet access for work! Has anyone else come across this problem? Help!
