Just read the book Macintosh...The Naked Truth by Scott Kelby. It is a must read for a Mac user. He talks about all the pain we Mac users have to go throught in a PC world. It was a fun read especially the CompUSA section.
There were some interesting parts, but they were few and far between. It was a chore to get through all of his parenthetical comments (I don't think there was a paragraph without AT LEAST one, often UNfunny, parenthetical comment). See! I just did it! Ugh!
Also, all of his pro-mac, anti-"PC Weenie" stuff seemed taken from the endless fora and discussions we've all seen here and elsewhere... Cut and paste. I swear his car company comparison to Apple was lifted right off of a thread we had here a while back.
There were some good insights and funny stories, but really the only things I hadn't heard before were the letters to the editor he included in the book so that he could mention his magazine yet one more time. At least it wasn't another breakfast metaphor.
I read it in the middle of Barnes and Noble (no, I don't feel ashamed that I didn't buy it--that's why they let people sit there!) and I have to say, I thought it was hillarious. The whole Apple Store within a Store Store ("The ASS Store") part got really funny. I had to stop reading cuz I was laughing so hard! ("The ASSman doesn't want people to remain in the ASS, so he pushes them out of the ASS so that he can play with all the shiny computers on his own"--something like that)
