Boot into OS 9

I tried to boot into OS X in one of the computers in school but it does'nt have OS X
(which I did'nt know) and now it does'nt start what do I do well it starts but there's some black letters and the screen is gray how do I boot into OS 9

please help !!!!!
 
I don't quite understand your explanation, but you can try zapping the pram. Hold down command+alt+p+r when you start the Mac, then it'll reboot, and you can release the keys. Then it will probably boot into OS 9. If it's a slot loading or G4 iMac, you can also try holding down alt when starting. Then you can choose which system to start from.
