I've been using my Bose Companion 5 series speakers for around a year now. After travelling overseas with them, I proceeded to plug in my companion 5's.When connecting my Bose Companion 5 series into my macbook pro (via USB), under system preferences it states "This device has no output controls". The volume pod control lights up correctly as well, there is just absolutely no sound being projected through the speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated! P.S.- Would bringing them onto airplanes have anything to do with it? read a magnetic warning on the box stating that if it were to be taken overseas you might have to have it checked at the airport. Just a thought!
