Broadcasting iTunes over FM Freq

Hello,

Not too long ago, I saw a product for the Macintosh that would allow you to plug it in via USB, and it could broadcast to stereo systems in the house on a FM freq.

I know iTrip allows you to do this on the iPod, but there was something that was for the Mac, and I can't seem to find it.

Any help would be appreciated...

Any of the FM transmitters out will do it. I don't know about the iTrip since it draws its power from the iPod, but as long as there's a earphone jack to plug into, it should.
I have an iRock (posted about it in another thread) and it does work fine. I prefer to use mine with the iPod, so I can use the remote. And so I don't have to have it hanging off the laptop (and cuz I keep most of my music on the iPod).

Cool, that is what I was looking for. Too bad it's only about 30 feet of broadcasting. I think the law allows up to like 150 feet... it would be nice to be able to cover the whole house. :)

The stronger the signal, the greater it could be interfered by with a cell phone. But it would be nice to play your music over to the neighbors. I hadn't thougt about it before, but maybe I'll give it a try tonight at home since I have an iRock and a soundfeeder. I'll use the iRock with the iPod and broadcast to a boombox. Then I'll use the soundfeeder to broadcast from the boombox to my stereo. Not very elegant, but I wonder what it'll play like. I've used 2 stereos off the same signal, but never tried a second FM signal. Hmmm.
