O opli Registered Oct 20, 2000 #1 that's it, everytime i try to install osX restarting from the cd all i get is the broken folder. i have a Toshiba combo drive (dvd rom & cdr all-in-one), instead of apple 's regular dvd rom. any clues on solving this?

J jareth Registered Oct 26, 2000 #2 I had exactly the same problem as you, but I have a HP CDR. I had to re-install my DVD CDrom, then the install went flawlessly. Soon as OSX was installed, I went back to my CDR. No problems.
