I installed X from Xfree86.org. I've used fink to install GNOME and sawfish. Whenever I try to open a terminal (and it is irrespective of the WM), I get an error along the following lines:
error when trying to login : broken pipe
Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone have any idea what could be causing it?
