I use Brother HL-1250, still no Jag at home, but in my experience with 10.x there are only two causes to the "garbage" issue:
- installing Jag removed/damaged some Brother item; try to reinstall your driver then.
- the driver needs to be updated. In this case, the only thing you can do is wait. usually Brother update their drivers quickly. Or call or write them.
