I felt it was important to revisit the browser wars. We have complained previously that Windows XP (using IE) was significantly faster than ANY mac user ANY browser.

With Mozilla .97 our and new releases from OmniSky... I have been rather impressed with the latest releases.

We will revist our testing site, http://www.fuckedcompany.com because of the site of their main page, mainly text.

Mozilla .97 (5 seconds)
OmniWeb 4.0.6 (3-4 seconds)
IE (4-5 seconds)

Not only do the speeds appear to be faster than previous releases, but Mozilla & Omniweb have a HUGE improvement over displaying websites correctly... at least when compared to IE... even though it may not be 100% correct... but most sites are made to LOOK correct in IE.

Its interesting that omniweb was faster. Mozilla is faster on more complex pages, however. And It is the king of CSS. Omniweb is horrible on complex pages, especially with CSS.

I think the browser wars do need to be revisited, especially on OS X. Alternitive browsers are gaining on and are better than IE.
