It seems that Caffeine Software, the makers of Curator, PixelNHance, and Tiffany, are now shut down.
The curious thing is this: if the company had simply gone out of business, more than likely, they would have still been able to keep their website up and still sell their products. Caffeine Software, if I'm not mistaken, was really just one developer who had been around since the NeXT days...
This leads to the speculation that Apple bought the rights to their products, and probably hired the developer. Apple already bundled "PixelNHance" with new Macs.
The real gem Apple would have wanted to get their hands on was Tiffany. In it's day it was a Photoshop competitor. It has some powerful features, but suffered from an interface that was subpar.
With the underlying technology, Apple could be poised to incorporate it in to a "pro" version of iPhoto....
