Calling all Ozzies and Kiwis...

I'm 1/4 Basque you know?...
Can any of you Antipodean criminals (well just the Ozzies) please let me know if there are any radio stations that yuo can listen to via a live internet feed?

BBC World Service used to go out to the millions but the Beeb got greedy. 2DayFM (Sydney radio that I listened to when I lived in Surrey Hills, Sydney) is pretty good if not a little commercial. And my girlfriend from CHCH says New Zealand has actually got a few radio stations. The introduction of electricity recently must have really helped.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Alex

Any South Islanders, watch out, Sept 29th, I'm there!

There are many live internet radio stations to listen to. There's this really cool NEW application for the Mac, I dunno, maybe it hasn't been released yet, but I think it's gonna be called something like "iTunes". Well anyway, it has this really cool feature where you connect to the internet, and under the source, you click RADIO TUNER. In the window to the right, called STREAM, you select the genra of music want to listen to. Then you select the bit rate appropriate for your connection speed. Then you listen to the music. It works pretty well, I dunno, maybe it's a beta feature, prolly won't last very long, ya know?

niles - i think he means an aussie or new zealand station in particular. note that he lives in England. not sure why he would want a down under station, but that's how i interpretted it. i admit he wasn't very clear about it.
