Can I swap HDs between Wallstreet and Lombard?

I have a Wallstreet 300mhz with a 40gb HD with OS 10.2. I just got a Lombard 400mhz with a 6gb HD with OS 10.3 and OS 9. Can I switch HDs and expect them both to work without reinstalling the OS? I imagine that the Wallstreet 10.2 system will work right away in the Lombard, but will the 10.3 system work in the Wallstreet? Will it hurt anything to give it a try? I know that Wallstreet doesn't officially support 10.3, however I've also seen Tiger installed on a first generation Clamshell iBook (with specs similar to the Wallstreet) without using x-post-facto.
 
The Wallstreet, according the MacTracker, can only go up to 10.2.8.

The original iBook, Clamshell supports up to 10.3.9.
