Can I vary the size of photos uploaded to .Mac from iPhoto?

Wow!

I came here with four questions, and have had three of them answered just by searching the topics.

This last one has me stumped however.

I love using iPhoto, and enjoy quickly posting pics online via .Mac. However, I don't like the inordinate amount of compression utilized automatically.

Is there any way to "control the quality" of uploaded pics? Kind of like when you use email in iPhoto you're asked what size you'ld like the attached photo to be?

Thanks in Advance,
Lee

Yes.

File > Export > in the menu there, choose the dimensions, and maybe the second tab so you can do directly the page. Using the biggest resolution (e.g. 2000x1500 pixel) is often not the best solution for pictures that are intended only for web. Choose the "web quality" ... or e.g. Image Indexer (get from versiontracker, freeware) can do 2 sets of pictures (with a lot smaller size than iphoto defaults), e.g. 640x480 sized set for big photos and 240x180 (or whichever) for the thumbnail pictures.

Welcome on board ;)
