I am new to the whole Mac scene and have looked all over for this question and seem unable to find a similar problem so I apologize if I am reposting. My problem is that when I am at the log in screen on my Mac OS X 10.5.8 and try to log in to my profile it will take my password then appear as if it is going to log in but take over 2 minutes and 20 seconds before it just ends up going back to the log in screen. All other users are able to log in to their profiles. I have tried to reset my password through one of the other system admin. accounts to no avail. I have also tried to start my profile in safe mode and that as well did not work. No new applications were added and it seemed to be working fine the day before. I have pictures, and documents that I would really like to be able to save if possible and we do have time machine hooked up. Any help is appreciated. And again I am new so step by step would really be needed! Thanks!
