Can someone help? IP problems...

Hey guys,

Need your help badly. I am running OS 10.1 on a Quicksilver with a 56K connection.

I am trying to start a Hotline server ( please don't flame me, this will not be for pirating software but just for me and my friends ) Only problem is this, whenever I disconnect and then reconnect to the internet I get issued a different IP address it is always 67.211.127.xx where xx are the numbers that change. This is not good since Hotline uses the IP address to connect to the server, I do not want to drown my friends in emails telling the new address.

Any suggestions to how I can keep a specific IP address that will not change each time I reconnect.

Albert, what is needed is a dynamic DNS redirection service. This will allow you to have a static address as far as the rest of the world is concerned. Click here for a good place to get started. :)
