Can you recommend a 35 mm slide scanner?

I only have a Canon 1240U scanner which won't scan slides very well.

I need to scan several old 35mm colour slides that I have found when clearing out my late mothers house. I don't need great quality, I just need something that will enable me to put the pictures the computer as a family record.

I have a Konica Minolta slide scanner which has worked very well. I use it with VueScan.

I've used two combo scanners by HP and they've done very well.

I've had a look for the Konica, but they don't seem to be available any more.

I'll look as the HP ones too, thanks. My "usual" mail order supplier has a cheap Canon 4400F which looks OK as well.
