I've had my ibook for about a year now and this is the first time I've had a problem with it. Last night right after I finished my software update, ftp has suddenly stopped letting me login.
I've enabled root ftp for the last year or so.

# list of users disallowed any ftp access.
# read by ftpd(8).

Whenever I goto login even as my own account and not as root I get login incorrect.

530 Login incorrect.

Anyone have ANY idea?
/etc/xinetd.d/ftp looks fine.
The initial ftp connection just starts up an instance of ftpd -l
I have no idea what else to be looking for.
